"EUOI!"
Senior Thesis Film
2025 - 2026
“EUOI!” is a queer-euphoric historical fantasy that follows Dorotea, a young transgender woman, to her first Bacchic ritual, where she experiences a transformative meeting with the god Dionysus himself.The film is fully hand-drawn in ToonBoom Harmony with traditionally painted watercolor backgrounds."EUOI!" was released in June 2026 as an unfinished work-in-progress.

Story
"EUOI!" went through several stages. Originally, the film sought to follow Dorotea through an ordinary day in her life, exploring a mundane experience of transphobia, which set up a contrast for the affirming and euphoric night she has at the Bacchic gathering.
The film as it exists now has been pared down to only the "second act" of the Bacchic ritual.
Versions of the "first act" are still very relevant to Dorotea as the creator envisions her, and can be explored in the storyboards below.

Earliest "Final" Boards - Act 1 Version 1
This earliest version of the story begins during the Dionysia - the annual theater festival. Dorotea meets Callisto in the crowd at a performance of Euripdes' "Bacchae." The scene depicted onstage includes the main antagonist being dressed in women's clothing by a disguised Dionysus.

"Keepsake"

"Keepsake" is a 7-min stop-motion dark fairytale about two sisters, Stella and Terra, who's encounter with the owner of a mysterious and beautiful trinket shop changes their lives forever.As a member of the Sad Snake Studio team, I worked as Lead Animator, co-Lead of Puppet Fabrication, and was part of the core Story team. I also contributed to set/prop building, FX animation, compositing, and sound design/mixing.Below is a reel of shots from the film that I both animated and composited.

Thanks for stopping by!I'm Eliana, a passionate 2D animator and illustrator from Portland, OR. I currently live and work in Hamilton, Ontario after graduating from Sheridan College in 2025.I have experience working in many mediums, both individually and collaboratively, and my whole heart lies in the process of traditional, hand-drawn animation. Whether it's on paper, in ToonBoom, or in the physical world of stop-motion, I am eager to expand my skills working on inspired projects.
